Torrent only downloading at 10 kb s

Alright well I just got a new computer a week or so ago and just put Utorrent on it today. I have experience with Utorrent because I have it on my laptop and another desktop however I am no expert. So I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now I'm getting it to finish its test finally but for some reason it always goes to the "France, Paris" servers and its at least saying now that I have a 2.

So I thought great its fixed I'm still getting really slow speeds even tho the Network checks out and I have a green light in the bottom right corner. I can't find anything on the forums that explains it.

Please if you know help me out. If you still have low download speed, then theres a connection issue. Yeah but the thing is that I can download ubuntu from their site at 1. The only problem when downloading is when downloading through Utorrent. All other types of downloading is perfectly fine.

That's why I'm thinking it is an issue with Utorrent. I just can't figure it out. Anyone else with an Idea? Ignore the Bandwidth test and just enter your upload speed in the drop-down menu and save. Thing is, I never changed any settings or did anything to cause this change in speed.

When I first got utorrent, I never tweaked anything and it worked fine. All my settings are fine, I'm on wireless and utorrent is allowed on hardware firewall and software firewall. Nothing changed in my router in the first place though- so I doubt it's that. Sadly, the only possible "fix" if it's even possible is to research ISPs in your area to find one that is less hostile Those very rare moments are either when the BitTorrent-crippling methods being used fail or are disabled.

But it will probably not be as good as it used to be. ISPs hate BitTorrent too much. Ah wow, I didn't notice that thing about the ISP before. That must be it. Everyone with this problem seems to have Carphone Warehouse Broadband. I still recommend connections per torrent while downloading, but seeding torrents can get by just fine with just Start new topic.

Both global and per-torrent. Your settings are just bad. I have a Mac and Bittorrent version 7. A week ago I was getting speeds of 1. I have not changed settings in the program, but there was an update that I installed to Bittorrent a few days ago. I can get the speed to increase if I quit Bittorrent and relaunch it but the increase again only lasts a few seconds and is not anywhere close to what I was getting. Please, oh, please, someone have a solution for me.

This is so frustrating!!! Bittorrent is still acting the same as it was, so I am thinking it is a problem in the new update. And once I restart the computer and restart, the speed is "normal" and everything works well but for only a few minutes, at which point speed drops down again. I checked all the settings in "Preferences" and everything seems OK there. Based on all the other comments I am seeing here, it appears that something happened when the software was upgraded.

Will BitTorrent address this issue? A LOT of people are suffering from this issue and there has been no resolution from bittorrent on this.

When can we expect a fix? That still doesn't tell us enough about your situation to be able to troubleshoot the actual issue. Everything worked prior to the update. Seemingly nothing could be done to make 7.
